وَقُل
رَّبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِيْنِ (٩٧)
وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُوْنِ
[
المؤمنون:97-98]
Wa
qur rabb bi a’ oo’ zu bi ka min ha ma zaa tish sha yaa teen
Wa a oo’ zu bi ka
rab bi ay yah dhu roon.
98. “…and, O my
Rabb, I seek protection from You that (pleasure) they approach me (always try
to tempt me with evil).”
99. (The Kuffaar
continue practising kufr and behaving stubbornly) Until the time arrives when
death comes to any one of them, then (when he sees the punishment in store for
him) he says, “O my Rabb! Allow me to return (to the world) …”

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِيْنَ
الرَّحْمَٰنِ
الرَّحِيْمِ
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ
الدِّيْنِ
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ
وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ
اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ
الْمُسْتَقِيْمَ
صِرَاطَ الَّذِيْنَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوْبِ
عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّيْنَ
[
الفاتحة:1-7]
Bis-mil-laa-hir-rah-maa-nir-ra-heem.
Al-ham-du-lil-laa-hi-rab-bil-’aaa-la-meeen.
Ar-rah-maa-nir-ra-heeem.
Maa-li-ki-yaw-mid-deeen.
Iy-yaa-ka-na’-bu-du-wa-iy-yaa-ka-nas-ta-’eeen.
Ih-di-nas-si-raa-tal-mus-ta-qeem.
Si-raa-tal-la-zee-na-an-’am-ta-’a-lay-him.
Ghay-ril-magh-dhoo-bi-’a-lay-him-wa-ladh-dhaall-leen.
All praise
belongs to Allaah, the Rabb (the Cherisher, the Creator, the Sustainer) of the universe
(and whatever it contains) …
2. Who is the Most
Compassionate, the Most Merciful…
3. …and Master
of (all affairs on) the Day of Recompense (the Day of Qiyaamah, when
resurrection, accountability, rewards and punishment will take place).
4. You Alone do
we worship, and You Alone do we ask for help.
5. Guide us to
the straight path (the path of lslaam).
6. the path of
those whom You have favoured (by guiding them aright) . . .
7 ….and not the
path of those with whom You are angry (the Jews), nor the path of those who
have gone astray (the Christians).

اٰلٰمٰ
ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا
رَيْبَۛ فِيْهِۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَ
الَّذِيْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ
بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيْمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ
[
البقرة:1-3]
Alif Laaam Meeem.
Zaa li kal kit aa
bu laa ray ba feeh.
Hu dal lil mut ta
qeen.
Al la zee na yu’
me noo na bil ghay bi wa yu qee moo nas sa
laa ta wa mim maa ra zaq naa hum yun fi qoon.
1. Alif Laam
Meern (Only Allaah knows its meaning.)
2. There is no
doubt (or error) in this Book (the Quraan which Muhammad (Sallalahu
Alayhi Wasallam) recites to you).
In it is (a means of) guidance for those with Taqwa (for those who carry out
what they are commanded to do and who abstain from what they have been
forbidden).
3. Those (with
Taqwa are they) who have Imaan in (who believe in the truth of) the unseen
(paradise, hell, Jinn etc), who establish salaah (they regularly perform salaah
ensuring that all its conditions are fulfilled) and
who spend from
what We have provided for them (in obedience to Allaah’s commands).

وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْ الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ
سُلَيْمَانَۖ
وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا
[
البقرة:102-102]
Wat ta ba oo’ maa tat lush sha yaa tee nu a’ laa mul ki
su lai maan
Wa maa ka fa ra su lai maa nu wa laa kin nash sha yaa
tee na ka fa roo.
102. They (the
Jews) go by what the Shayaateen advertised during the reign of Sulaymaan (that
Sulaymaan practised black magic and was therefore a Kaafir). Sulaymaan never
committed kufr, but the Shayaateen were Kuffaar by teaching black magic to the
people.

وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌۖ
لَّا
إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ
[
البقرة:163-163]
Wa I laa hu kum I
laa huw waa hid.
Laa I laa ha il
laa hu war rah maa nur ra heem.
163. Your Ilaah
is but One Ilaah. There is no other Ilaah but Him, The Compassionate, The Most
Merciful. (His decision is final)

اللَّٰهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُۚ
لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ
وَلَا نَوْمٌۚ
لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِۗ
مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۚ
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۖ
وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَۚ
وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَۖ
وَلَا يَئُوْدُهُ
حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
[
البقرة:255-255]
Al-laa-hu-laaa-i-laa-ha-il-laa-hu-wal-hay-yul-qay-yooom
.
Laa-ta’-khu-zu-hu-si-na-tuw-wa-laa-nawm.
La-hu-maa-fis-sa-maa-waa-ti-wa-maa-fil-ardh.
Mann-zal-la-zee-yash-fa-u’-’in-da-hu-il-laa-bi-iz-nih.
Ya’-la-mu-maa-bay-na-ay-deee-him-wa-maa-khal-fa-hum
Wa-laa-yu-hee-too-na-bi-shay-imm-min-’ilm-mi-heee-il-laa-bi-maa
shaa’
Wa-si-a’-kur-siy-yu-hus-sa-maa-waa-ti-wal-ardh
Wa-laa-ya-oo-du-hu-hif-zu-hu-maa-wa-hu-wal-’a-liy-yul-’a
zeem
255. Allaah (is
such that) besides Him there is no Ilaah, He is Ever Living, The Maintainer (of
everything). Neither drowsiness nor sleep overcomes Him. To Him belongs all
that is in the skies and all within the earth. Who is there that can intercede
before Him without His permission? (None can do this.) He knows what is before them
(He knows what lies ahead for His creation) and what is behind them while they
surround (possess) none of His knowledge except if He wills (except what He
teaches them). His throne (His knowledge and His power) includes (extends over)
the heavens and the earth (and whatever is within them) and He never tires of
caring for them. He is High (above His creation). The Tremendous (the Supreme).

وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا
يَأْفِكُوْنَ
فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ
وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ
فَغُلِبُوْا هُنَالِكَ
وَانْقَلَبُوْا صَاغِرِيْنَ
وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ
سَاجِدِيْنَ
قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ
الْعَالَمِيْنَ
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ
وَهَارُوْنَ
[ الأعراف:117-122]
Wa
aw hay naa I laa moo saa an al qi a’ swaak
Fa
I zaa hi ya tal qa fu maa ya’ fi koon.
Fa
wa qa a’l haq qu wa ba twa la maa kaa noo ya’ ma loon.
Fa
ghu li boo hu naa li ka wann qa la boo swaa ghi reen.
Wa
ul qi yas sa ha ra tu saa ji deen.
Qaa
loo aa mann naa bi rab bil a’aaa la meen.
Rab
bi moo saa wa haa roon.
117. We inspired
(strengthened) Moosa saying, “(Now) Throw your staff!” Then suddenly it (the
snake which was once Moosa’s staff) began to swallow their deceiving (unreal,
imaginary) things (the “snakes” that the magicians made people imagine were
there).
118. So the truth
was established and what (vain magic) they practised was dismissed (gone).!
119. On that
occasion they (the followers of Fir’oun) were defeated and they became the disgraced
(humiliated) ones (whereas they always behaved proudly).
120. The
magicians were thrown into prostration (in humility and submission because of
the grand miracle of Moosa, which they realised could have come only from
Allaah).
121. They said,
“We believe in the Rabb of the universe. . .”
122. “…the Rabb
of Moosa and Haroon (contrary to what Fir’oun wanted them to believe, that he
was their “High Lord’’).”

فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ السِّحْرُۖ
إِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۖ
إِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ
وَيُحِقُّ اللَّٰهُ
الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ
وَلَوْ كَرِهَ
الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ
[ يونس:81-28]
Fa lamm maa al qawqaa la moo saa maa
ji’ tumm bi his sihr.
Inn nallaa ha sayubtiluh.
Inn na llaa ha laa yus li hu a’ ma
lal muf si deen.
Wa yu hiq qul laa hul haq qa bi ka
li maa ti hi
Wa low ka ri hal muj ri moon.
81. When they
threw (their sticks and ropes which seemed to turn into snakes) Moosa told
them, “What you have displayed is magic (and not what I had shown to Fir’oun).
Allaah shall soon eliminate it (destroy its effect). Surely Allaah does not
allow the actions of mischief makers to materialise (to have significant
results).”
82. Allaah
establishes (confirms) the truth with His words (His decrees and promises) even
though the wrong doers (the Kuffaar) detest it.

قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْأَعْلَىٰ
وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي
يَمِيْنِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوْاۖ
إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوْا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍۖ
وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ
حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ
فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا
قَالُوْا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُوْنَ وَمُوْسَىٰ
[
طه:68-70]
Qul naa laa ta khaf
inn na ka anntal a’ laa.
Wa al qi maa fee ya mee ni ka tal qaf
maa swa na o’oo.
In na maa swa na o’oo kay du saahir
Wa laa yuf li hus saa hi ru hay su a
taa.
Fa ul qi yas sa ha ra tu suj ja daa
Qaa loo aaa mann naa bi rab bi haa roo
na wa moo saa.
68. We said, “Do
not fear! You shall definitely remain high (be victorious over them).”
69. “Throw down
what is in your right hand, and it will devour (swallow) what they have faked.
They have merely faked the plot of a magician, and a magician will never
succeed (prosper against the truth) wherever he goes.” (As instructed, Moosa
threw down his staff which ate up all the snakes of the magicians.)
70. So (seeing
that the snake of Moosa was not a fake like theirs,) the magicians were
(astounded and realising that he must surely be Allaah’s Rasool, they were)
cast into prostration (forced to prostrate) saying, “We believe in the Rabb of
Haaroon and Moosa.”

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا
وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ
فَتَعَالَى اللّٰهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّۖ
لَاإِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيْمِ
[
المؤمنون:115-116]
A
fa ha sib tum an na maa kha laq naa kum
a’ ba saw
Wa
ann na kum i lay naa laa tur ja oo’n.
Fa
ta aa’ lal laa hul ma li kul haq
Laa
I laa ha il laa hu wa rab bul a’r shil a’ zweem.
115. “(While
living in the world,) Did you think that We had created you in vain (without a
specific purpose) and that you would not return to Us (to answer for what you
did in the world)?”
116. Exalted is
Allaah, the Sovereign, the Truth (the True Ilaah). There is no Ilaah but He. He
is the Rabb of the Glorious Throne.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ
[
الذاريات:56-56]
Wa
maa kha laq tul jinn na wal inn sa il laa li ya’ bu doon.
56. I have
created man and Jinn only to worship (serve) Me. (Besides the many various
other reasons, the most important objective for creating men and Jinn is for
them to recognise who Allaah is).

وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ
الْمَشَارِقِ
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ
الْكَوَاكِبِ
وَحِفْظًا مِّنْ كُلِّ
شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ
[
الصّافّات:1-7]
Was saaaf faa tisaf faa.
Faz zaa ji raa ti zaj raa.
Fat taa li yaa ti zik raa.
in nailaa ha kum la waa hid.
Rab bus sa maa waa ti wal ar dhi wa maa bay na hu maa war ab bul ma shaa
riq.
in naa zay yan nas sa maa ad dun yaa bi zee na ti nil ka waa kib.
Wa hif zam min kul li shay taa nim maa rid.
1. By the oath of
those angels who stand in rows (engaged in Ibaadah or awaiting instructions
from Allaah)!
2. And by those
angels who (sharply) drive (the clouds to their destinations)!
3. And by those
angels who recite the ‘Reminder’ (the Qur’aan)!
4. Without doubt,
your Ilaah is One.
5. He is the Rabb
of the heavens, the earth, whatever is between the two and He is the Rabb of
the points of the sun’s rising (the various points on the eastern horizon from
which the sun rises during the different seasons).
6. Verily, We
decorated (beatified) the sky of this world with the adornment (decoration) of the
stars…
7. as a
protection from every rebellious Shaytaan.

وَحِفْظًا مِّنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ
[
الصّافّات:-7]
Wahifzam min kul li shay taanim maa rid.

الدخان:48-48]
Sum ma sub boo faw qa
ra si hee min a’ zaa bil ha’ meem.
48. “Then pour
the punishment of boiling water over his head.”

لَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ
خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّٰهِ
وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ
يَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ
[ الـحـشـر:21-21]
Low an zal naa haa zal qur aa na a’ laa ja ba lil
la ra ay ta hoo khaa shi a’m mu ta sawd di a’m
min khash ya til laah
wa til kal am
saa lu nadh ri bu haa linn naa si la
a’l la hum ya ta fak ka roon
21. If We had to
reveal this Qur’aan to (on to) a mountain (and grant it understanding of the Qur’aan
without the barrier of carnal desires), you will See it humble itself and
shatter (split) out of fear for Allaah. These are examples that We relate to
people so that they reflect (about their personal conditions).

قُلْ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ
فَقَالُوْا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا
يَهْدِيْ إِلَى الرُّشْدِ
فَآمَنَّا بِهِۖ وَلَنْ نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا
وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَىٰ جَدُّ
رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُوْلُ
سَفِيْهُنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ شَطَطًا
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنْ
لَّنْ تَقُوْلَ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ
مِّنَ الْإِنْسِ يَعُوْذُوْنَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوْهُمْ
رَهَقًا
وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوْا
كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ أَن لَّنْ يَبْعَثَ اللَّٰهُ أَحَدًا
وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا
السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيْدًا وَشُهُبًا
[ الجن:1-8]
Qul oo hi yai lay ya an na hus ta ma a’ na fa ram mi
nal jin ni fa qaa loo inn naa sa mi’ naa qur aa nan a’ ja baa.
Yah dee i lar rush di fa aa man naa bih.
Wa lan nush ri ka bi rab bi naa a ha daa.
Wa an na hu ta aa’ laa jad du rab bi naa mat ta kha za
saw hi ba taw wa laa wa la daa.
Wa an na hu ka na ya qoo lu sa fee hu naa a’ lal laa
hi sha twa twaa.
Wa an naa zwa nan naa al lan ta qoo lal in su wal jin
nu a’ lal law hi ka zi baa.
Wa an na hu ka na ri jaa lum mi nal in si ya oo’ zoo na
bi ri jaa lim mi nal jin ni fa zaa doo hum ra ha qaa.
Wa an na hum zwan nu ka maa zwa nan tum al lay yab a’
sal laa hu a ha daa.
Wa an naa la mas nas sa maaa a fa wa jad naa ha mu li
at ha ra san sha dee daw wa shu hu baa.
1. (0 Rasulullaah
(Sallalahu
Alayhi Wasallam) Say, “Revelation
has come to me (informing me) that a group of Jinn attentively listened to me
(reciting the Qur’aan) and said (to their fellow Jinn when they returned to
their places), ‘Indeed we have heard a most astounding (wonderful) Qur’aan (in
the morning prayer).’”
2.“’It points
towards righteousness so we believed in it and we shall never ascribe any
partner to our Rabb.’”
3.“’Most exalted is
the majesty of our Rabb, Who has neither taken a wife nor a child.”
4.“’Undoubtedly,
the ignorant (foolish) among us (the Jinn) used to say things about Allaah that
transgress the limit (when they attributed partners and children to Allaah) …’”
5. “…and we
always thought that no human or Jinn could ever lie about Allaah.’”
(We did not
expect humans and Jinn to be bold enough to lie about Allaah. Consequently, we
accepted the practices of Shirk that they told us, assuming it to be correct.
We now know better.)
6. “’Indeed
(adding to our practices of Shirk was that) there were those from mankind who
(when they stopped over at a frightening place during their travels, they would
call out to the leaders of the Jinn at that place and implore them for protection
from other Jinn. In doing so they) used to seek protection from the Jinn and (thereby)
increased them (the Jinn) ail the more in rebellion (by making them feel that
since others pleaded for assistance from them, they considered themselves to be
too important and powerful to submit to Allaah).’”
7. “They (these
Jinn) thought as you (the sinners) think that Allaah shall not resurrect anyone
(and because of this, they did not mend their ways).’”
8. “’We (the
Jinn) have sought to reach the skies (to eavesdrop on the conversations of the
angels to learn about future events) but found it filled with stern (firm,
watchful) guards (angels) and flaming fires (stars which the angels threw at
any Jinn caught trying to eavesdrop).”

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّٰهُ أَحَدٌ
اللَّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ
يُوْلَدْ
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُ
كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
[
الإخلاص:1-4]
Bis-mil-laa-hir-rah-maa-nir-ra-heem.
Qul-hu-wal-laa-hu-a-had.
Al-laa-hus-sa-mad.
Lam-ya-lid-wa-lam-yoo-lad.
Wa-lam-ya-kul-la-hu-ku-fu-wan-a-had.
1. Say, “He Allaah
is One.”
2. “Allaah is
Independent.” (He needs no one and nothing, but everyone and everything needs
Him.)
3. “He has no
children and is not anyone’s child.”
4. “There is none
equal to Him (neither in His Being nor in His qualities).”

قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ
إِذَا وَقَبَ
وَمِنْ شَرِّ
النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ
إِذَا حَسَدَ
[
الـفلق:1-5]
Bis-mil-laa-hir-rah-maa-nir-ra-heem.
Qul-a-’oo-zu-bi-rab-bil-fa-laq.
Minn-shar-ri-maa-kha-laq.
Wa-minn-shar-ri-ghaa-si-qin-i-zaa-wa-qab.
Wa-minn-shar-rinn-naf-faa-saa-ti-fil-’o-qad.
Wa-minn-shar-ri-haa-si-din-i-zaa-ha-sad.
1. Say, “I seek

Minn-shar-ril-was-waa-sil-khann-naas.
Al-la-zee-you-was-we-su-fee-su-doo-rinn-naas.
Mi-nal-jinn-na-ti-wann-naas.
1. Say, “I seek
refuge (shelter) with the Rabb (The Creator and Cherisher) of mankind…”
2. “…the King
of mankind…”
3. “…the Ilaah
(the Diety) of mankind…”
4. “…from the
mischief of the whisperer who withdraws (hides immediately after whispering evil
into man’s heart or ears) …”
5. “…who
whispers (evil commands and ideas) into the hearts of mankind…”
6. “…be he
(this whisperer) from among the Jinn or from mankind.”
