Definition of Shirk
The most fundamental article of faith in Islam is
belief in strict monotheism (tawheed). The opposite of tawheed is known
as shirk or associating partners with Allah (Ta’la). This is often
translated as polytheism.
Shirk is the one
unforgivable sin in Islam
(An-Nisaa: 48)
If one dies in the state of shirk, without returning to
Tauheed then Allah Ta’la will never forgive that person. Associating a partner
or others with Allah is a rejection of Islam and takes one outside of the
faith. The Quraan says:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him,
but He forgives sins other than that for whom He wills. And he whoever
associates partners with Allah has certainly gone far astray
(An-Nisaa: 116)
Therefore, any form of associating partners with Allah or
regarding someone or something equal to Allah in belief, in His being, in His
qualities, in His worship, in any action, is regarded as shirk. Allah has no
partner or equal. Hence sacrificing for anything for anyone or anything other
than Allah is also regarded as shirk.
DEVASTATING SHIRK AMONG MUSLEMS
1.
Sacrifices for Jinn
When someone tells you to slaughter an
animal of specific colour then know that this is for the shayaateen. Black
goat, white rooster, etc. it is not for Allah. This because in Islaam when we
do any type of sacrifice there are no specifications with regards to the colour
of animal, whether at eid, aqeeqah or haj.
It is the jinn who ask for that by giving specifications. Even
we slaughter according to Islamic methids, it still be for the jinn due to
doing the slaughter according to the demands of jinn. Do not eat this meat
if it is offered to you, as it is haram. The sacrifice is
a worship and worshipping jinns takes out of islam.
When jinns are caught and asked why there is
a specification of colour, they say that this is so that we know what has been
sacrificed for us and what has been sacrificed for Allah.
Similarly, it is the same when asked to pour milk into the
river, place food in the street, light candles in the cemetery, place animal
body parts in the graveyard, giving your fingernails, hair, used underwear,
period stained panties, intestines of haram animals, tie them all into a red
cloth and throw it into the sea or river, these are all sacrifices for jinn.
Consider the following verse of Quraan:
حُرِّمَتْ
عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ
اللَّهِ بِهِ
Forbidden to you (for consumption) are: Al-Maytatah (the dead animals –
cattle-beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine, and the meat of that
which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah, or has been
slaughtered for idols, etc.
Surah
5 verse 3
2. Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets, Lucky Charms,
Nails, etc.
Those rings and amulets used for luck,
rings of power and protection are not allowed in Islam. Not the rings of
sunnah, marriage or beauty which are permitted.
When someone tells you to place these items in your
home and business then know that these are pacts with shayateen, thus not
permitted. Do not accept the special rings and amulets of power
to help or protect you.
The prohibition of using amulets has been
deduced from the following narrations:
عن عقبة بن عامر الجهني : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم أقبل
إليه رهط فبايع تسعة وامسك عن واحد قالوا
يا رسول الله بايعت تسعة وتركت هذا قال ان عليه تميمة فادخل يده فقطعها فبايعه
وقال من علق تميمة فقد اشرك
]
Uqba Bin Aamir Al Juhany narrates that a group of people
came to Rasul (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam). He (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) accepted
a pledge of allegiance from nine of them but did not accept it from one. They asked
oh Prophet of Allah you accepted the pledge of allegiance from nine but left
this one. He (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied: “Surely he is wearing a
Tamimah”, so the individual then took hold of the Tamimah and broke it off.
After doing so the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) accepted the pledge of
allegiance from him and said: “Whomsoever wears a Tamimah surely has done
shirk.”
In the explanation of the word Tamimah, Imam Baihaqi (A.R)
says:
The Tamimah is known as a kharazah and is a necklace which
the Arabs would tie around their necks believing that it averts calamities.
It is possible, that the prohibition and detestability of
wearing a Tamimah is for that person who believes that the restoration of
health and the removal of illness is through the Tamaaim the people of
Jaahiliyyah would believe.
As for that person who wears it taking Barakah through the
name of Allah and knowing that the calamity cannot be lifted except by Allah
and cannot be removed except by Allah, then there is no harm in him wearing this
necklace.”
“Amulets (tamimah, plural of tamaaim) are things made from
pearls or bones and worn on the necks of children or adults or hung up in
houses or cars, in order to ward off evil – especially the evil eye – or to
bring some benefits.
Zaynab (Radhiallahu Anhaa), the wife of `Abdullah ibn
Mas`ud (Radhiallahu Anhu), reported that `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (Radhiallahu
Anhu) stated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying:
“Spells, amulets and love-charms are (forms of) shirk.” `Abdullah (Radhiallahu
Anhu) said, “Why do you say this? By Allah, when I was weeping eczema, I kept
going to so and so, the Jew, who did a spell for me and made the thing calm
down.” `Abdullah said: “That was just the work of Satan, who was picking it
with his hand, and when (the Jew) uttered the spell, he stopped. All you needed
to do was to say as the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to
say: Adh-hib al-ba’s Rabb an-Nas ishfi anta ash-Shafi la shifa’a illa shifa’uka
shifa’an la yughadiru saqaman (Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, You
are the Healer. There is no healing but Yours, a healing which leaves no
disease behind.’”
[Reported by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah]
Zainab reported: Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (Radhiallahu Anhu) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) say, “Verily, spells, amulets, and
charms are acts of idolatry.” I said, “Why do you say this? I swear by Allah
that when my eye was twitching, I would go to a Jewish man who would cast a
spell on me, and it would calm down. Abdullah said, “That was only the work of
a devil poking at you with his hand and he would stop after the spell was
uttered. Indeed, it is enough for you to say as the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: Take away the pain, O Lord of
mankind, and give healing for you are the healer. There is no healing but your
healing, a healing that leaves no trace of illness.”
[Sunan Abu Dawud 3883]
It is reported from Ibn Mas’ud (Radhiallahu Anhu) that
once, when he entered his home, he noticed his wife wearing a knotted object
round her neck. He took it away and broke it. Then he remarked ‘The family of
Abdullah has become so arrogant that they now associate with Allah those for
whom He has sent down no authority.’
I have heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alayhi
Wasallam) saying: ‘Verily, incantations, amulets, and love charms are acts of
shirk (associating gods with Allah).’ The people said: ‘O Abu Abdullah! We are
familiar with incantations and amulets, but what is a love charm (At-Tawlah)
‘?’ He replied: ‘It is a sort of magical formula by which women sought to gain
their husbands’ love’.”
[Related by Al-Hakim and Ibn Hibban].
Imran ibn Husain reports that the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu
Alayhi Wasallam) saw a man wearing a bracelet of copper on his arm. The Prophet
(Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) exclaimed to him: ‘Woe be to you!’ What is this? ‘
The man replied: ‘I am suffering from al-wahinah’ (The man was wearing a copper
bracelet believing it would relieve his pain and suffering). The Prophet (Sallalahu
Alayhi Wasallam) prohibited him from wearing it because he regarded it as an
amulet. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: ‘It will give you nothing
but pain. Throw it away. Had you died while wearing it, you would never have
achieved salvation! ie. you would have died in the state of the unforgivable
sin of shirk'”
[Narrated by Ahmad]
Abu Dawud reported that `Isa ibn Hamzah
said: “I entered upon ‘Abdullah ibn `Akim and his face was red due to high
fever. I said, ‘Why don’t you wear an amulet?’ He said, ‘We seek refuge with
Allah from that. Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) stated: “Whoever
wears anything (meaning an amulet) will be entrusted to its care…”
[Reported by Abu-Dawud]
3.
Using The Name of Jinn in Zikr, Dua and Writings.
The names of
Allah are tawfeeqi and cannot be made up by ourselves. Only what is taught to
us in the Quraan and hadith can be used as names of Allah.
Many people, use names of jinn knowingly or
unknowingly, thinking that they are specials names of Allah, angels, roohans, pious
people, etc. whereas they are names devils and words of Kufr. Do not use
incomprehensible dhikrs. Beware of duaas working like miracles: it is
piety that makes duaas accepted and not the words among these names: Qitmeer,
Baddooh, Amsakakook, Hashtaboosh, Hayboot, Israfayayeel, Jaljaloot, and the
list goes on.
Bi haqqi Yaa ilaahi Yaa Baddooh, some say
that Baddoh is the name of Allah that has been made with the four elements,
took a letter from each element: air, water, fire, earth, and made the name of
baddooh, the supreme name of Allah.
Some say Amsakakook means Yaa Hayyu Yaa
Qayyoom in Syrianic. The Syrianic does not exist anymore. The names of Allah
are understood in all languages like God in english, Khudaa in urdu, etc. There
is no problem in using these. However, the problem in using amsakaook and the
like thereof is using a language that does not existant and noone can give the
real meaning or verify the meaning.
Even if Amsakakook means Yaa Hayyu Yaa
Qayyoom in Syrianic, can this name be better than the actual Yaa Hayyu Yaa
Qayyoom in Arabic? So, what is the need to call Allah in Syrianic.
Arabic duas are
always more virtuous than other languages, let alone a language that does not
exist.
Five Pure Ones – Panjpaak: This based on
shia belief is not permitted to use. It is in reference to the five members of
the family of the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) whom the Shia revere and
worship. Using the pang paak they ask for direct protection from them and not
Allah.
Names of ashaabul kahaf including the dog
qitmeer – One mawdoo’ hadith and the other laysa la hu asl – there is no origin
for it, does not exist– Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Nu’maan bin Shibli, whose
grandfather was a raawi, who made up ahaadeeth and attributed them to his
grandfather. Know well that these are only lies and fabrications to introduce
shirk into the ummah.
Even if it is really the names of the 7
sleepers then what benefit it is to call unto Allah by the sacred value of
Maksallema, Tamleekha, Martools, Yathboons,
Dhartoons, Kashteetos, Mantwaseesoss and the dog is Qitmeer.
Generally, we don’t even
make dua using the names of the ambiyaa like Nooh, Ibraaheem, Moosa, Esa and
Muhammad (Sallalahu Alayhimus Wasallam) who
are the best of creation. Why use these names, and how can you even ask Allah through
the value of their dog qitmeer, this is opening a doorway to shirk.
Names of malaaikah – Yaa Jibraaeel, Yaa
Mikaaeel, Yaa Izraaeel, Yaa Israafeel. In Surah Saba verse 40, 41, Allah
explains:
And [mention] the Day when He will gather
them all and then say to the angels, “Did these [people] used to worship
you?” 40
They will say, “Exalted are
You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship
the jinn; most of them were believers in them.” 41
Shayaateen come into the dreams of people like angels, to
show them light, and tell them that Allah has loved you and Allah has given you
a secret, that if you have any type of problem then you should call Allah by
his special name, get up in the middle of the night and call Yaa Baddooh, Yaa
Hayboot, Yaa Amsakaook, Yaa Jamharoosh, Yaa Qandoor, in this way your problem
will be solved. These people get so happy thinking that Allah has given him the
key to success, however Shaytaan has fooled him and taken him out of Islaam.
4.
Talisman &Tamaaim
Ulama give permission to write
the taweez which are only the exact words of Quraan, hadith or dua.
The Maaliki fiqh does not allow it at all,
however we cannot say it is totally haram due to the saheeh hadith of Abdullah
bin Amr bin Aas
It is important
to note, if there is something else unknown in the ta’weez then it is not
permitted by anyone.
You will find some Quraan but together
with that you will find grids, codes, names of jinn, etc.
Replacing the names of Allah and Quran by numbers (For example:
Allah = 1 + 30 + 30 + 5=66) has no spiritual value and no beneficial effect;
they are finally numbers that call the jinn to help. Is 66
the name of Allah? Can you replace Allah name by 66 or say 786 instead of Bismillah?
How many other names can give you the total of 66? When eating can you say 786 before
you eat to attain the sunnah and stop shaytaan eating with you? 786 also adds to
Hare Krishna, a hindu chant praising their god.
Is it not better and safer to use the pure
words found in the Quraan and Hadeeth? There is no meaning and value in changing
the words of Quraan and dua into numbers. This type of actions has nothing to
do with Islaam. It is not an Islaamic science.
Numbers and grids are for
energies of the universe for equilibrium – energy healing. Grids with 16
numbers from 15209 until 15240 – code numbers of group of jinn.
The squaring represents in horizontal lines the
chance of the man: his wealth, health, family and honor and the vertical lines,
deteriorations to be brought and the numbers are the numbers of the jinn called
to do the job.
WHAT THE JINNS DO TO YOU
In the above four situations, the jinns called
cannot bring anything positive in your life. In the best-case situation, the
jinn manipulate your situation: they work to give you one thing at the loss of
another. They deteriorate your health or children to increase in your wealth,
or they reduce a health problem to replace it by a different possibly worse
one, and they take each time their commission or payment.
